While the product itself looks to well made, the installation process is far from easy. The fishwire process is hit or miss and it is very likely that the average guy will have a lot of difficulty in attempting to install this product on a Range Rover Sport. The access hole is way too small and there is no way to install the product without a successful fishwire experience, (short of removing the bumper cover). I consider myself fairly handy with tools and I am generally successful with other installation procedures. I would not recommend this product to the average person and frankly would prefer to return the product to Etrailer.com
Okay so when i first received the kit and unpacked it and looked at the parts, i thought there is no way this will be 30min (as stated in the instructions). However, all i can say is trust the instructions and the fishing wires, they ARE THE HEAT! Those little fishing wires are life savers.
it took me 20 min. Graet kit! Saved over $400 as compared to the Land Rover OEM Hitch.

I purchased an aftermarket plug and play, trailer wiring harness, not hard at all.
Fairly easy to install. Took me about an hour to install. Fishing pic and instructions were pretty worthless. The access opening is right behind the bumper weights where the frame hits the bumper. Make sure the fishing wire stays along the bottom of the rail so the bolt and plate doest get hung up and be gentle so the wire doesn’t come off the bolt tip. That being said. Quality seems excellent and I’m happy with it.

This is exactly I needed. I didn't want to spend $600 on a hitch receiver for my LR4. I first bought a $40 version that was a terrible choice and almost cost me thousands in damage to my bike rack and bikes. This product is really high quality and perfect for loading up my bike/cargo rack which can exert a lot of downward force on the hitch.
Installation was challenging for me - but I am not at all mechanical or handy and I got it done with one trip to Lowes (for a deep 3/4 socket) and about an hour or so of working on it.
I have always had a mechanic install all of my previous trailer hitches, so I was a bit hesitant about installing one by myself. The process couldn’t have been more simple. The product was packaged nicely and the instructional video was spot on. Highly recommend this product by ETrailer and Curt.
Hitch works perfect. I have the supercharged rrs which apparently has more bumper that need some attention but the hitch bolt is perfectly
Fits as easily as promised to my 2008 LR3 within 30 mins in the driveway using only a wrench and the supplied hardware. Very easy to install and looks great on the truck. Thank you eTrailer.

Trip saver - broke the crap land rover hitch on our 2006 LR3 while on a cross country trip with a travel trailer even though trailer weight and tongue weight was well within hitch ratings per Land Rover. Fortunately broke at a gas stop and not at 60 on the highway. Marooned in a grocery parking lot I Called etrailer on Friday afternoon, before memorial day weekend, 30 minutes before closing. Hitch was in stock and they still managed to get it shipped that day. Hitch arrived first business day and within 90 minutes in the hotel parking lot had it installed. I did find getting the backing plates in place a little fussy because of how LR builds its boxed frames. At the place where there are holes in the frame for access the metal is not completely cut out but instead are cut on three sides and folded in. This creates obstacles inside the frame to work the backing plates and bolts past. On the other hand they also create a great brace to keep the backing plate and bolt in place. Other recommendation is to remove the bolt that holds the inboard side of the vibration dampener in place.
This allows you to move the dampener 3/4 of an inch which doubles your access space.
Quality of the hitch seems great, fit was near perfect. I ended up buying a torque wrench because that was not in my usual travel tools. Checked after sitting overnight and 3 times in first hour of towing and found slight loosening but all has been well.
Full sized spare no longer fits but that is clearly stated.
Do loose some ground clearance in the rear.
Highly recommended. This is my 3rd hitch on 3 different vehicles and all have worked out great.

After the factory hitch on my Landrover Broke off the vehicle i decided to go with a bolt on. This hitch works great and the installation was fairly simple with the instructions provided. 5 stars for this hitch very pleased. Great job etrailer!!
The Curt Hitch, item #13456, works great. I was not sure about the fish wire part of the install but after speaking with Matt at etrailer it was easy. From the time the hitch was delivered it took less than 1 hour to install on my Land Rover LR4. Having a extra set of helping hands also made the job easier.
For a Land Rover LR4 HSE LUX with the fullnsize spare, a 1/4" to 5/16" has to be cut off for spare to mount. Still tight but did not want to over due load limit. Keep pry bar in vehicle to get spare out. Otherwise a good hitch.

The hitch arrived with no issues and I installed it easily. The fish-wires are wonderful, what a great idea!
Works like advertised. The only issue I had was while installing it on '08 Land Rover LR3 was that it was just slightly wider than the frame of the truck, and I had to bend the "arms" in slightly to squeeze it in within the fram before bolting it on.
Came quickly and in great shape. The instructions were good, the photo of the insert location of the bolts etc could have been better, but workable. The fit was excellent fit right in and once wires were threaded it was extremely easy.
I would recommend this over the OEM hitch from Land Rover.
We received the package yesterday. After dinner my husband went out to put it on. He had a little trouble doing it and asked me to come help so I did. I had watched the video on how to install it but he didn't so I was able to tell him how to get it on easily. After I went out we had it on in about 30 minutes. It is a snug fit and definitely needs two people to get it up but looks great and is a heavy duty hitch. We can't wait to use it this weekend to go biking.

This hitch was an easy install on my 2013 Range Rover Sport. I did it by myself and used a hammer to align the holes after getting it set in place. No drilling needed and one could not ask for a simpler install for a hitch.
Great product. The hitch is well made and exactly as described on the website. Installed on 2013 RR Sport in 45 minutes single-handed in driveway no problem. If you are the type of person that owns 1/2" drive sockets then you will most likely be able to do this install just fine. Video removes any guesswork as well.

Received and installed in 2 hours. A little daunting at first but once i got the first bolt through, it was about just ingenuity to get it into the tight space between the frame beams. Had to set my car jack on 6 bricks to force it up. It is definitely a two person task.
